What is a compiler

A topic on the ArchLinux forums caught my attention today…

A compiler literally compiles a list of machine code instructions,
the object code, based on the source code. The resulting object code
is a ready-to-run program that is very fast, but which may crash the
computer
.
– “Programming Language,” Microsoft Encarta 96 Encyclopedia.

Is that true? :D
Maybe in the Microsoft world… as one of the ArchLinux users said there…

Here’s a more adequate definition.

The industrial sinus can also be 2 (two).

THE reform

One of the students participating at the meeting with Cristian Tudor Popescu today made an interesting remark, highly appreciated both by the other students and by Cristian Tudor Popescu.

I can’t call reform the fact that I learn the same courses as my father had, but in PowerPoint.

Romanian:

Nu pot numi reforma faptul ca invat aceleasi cursuri pe care le-a facut si tatal meu, dar in PowerPoint.
